 I don't think this thing is going to hold up, and I'm a collector!Jan 12, 2012

I was all excited when I initially bought this, since I was going to be using it as a visual aid for a character I'm building. However, when I opened the cute box and took the stuffed cat out, I cringed. I don't think this thing is going to hold up and I'm a collector! I don't even play with my stuffed animals. I can't imagine how well this thing would hold up to a child. The fabric it's made out of is inferior quality-you can see the base under the faux fur. The toy started shedding on me the minute I pulled it out of its box and has done a little more since I started stuffing it. I'm afraid I'm going to have blatant bald spots once I'd done. The stitching was badly done and there was even a part of the foot that wasn't sewn up! I found this out as I was stuffing it, and the stuffing was peeking out of this hole. I'm going to have to sew that up on my own. I'm keeping this one, but I would not buy another like it. It doesn't completely look like the picture, either. Not worth the money I paid for it.

I bought this last year for my 5 year old. She loved putting the wishing star in and felt like she stuffed and made her own cat. I thought the fact that it was so simple might not hold the same facination or excitement as something you sew and put together but she did enjoy it and it became a "special" stuffed animal. It has been washed once and held up fine. Cute and soft and quite large. I'd say it was a medium sized stuff animal.
